Assembling aggregation‐induced emission with natural DNA to maximize donor/acceptor ratio for efficient light‐harvesting antennae

چکیده

Arranging dense donors around a single acceptor for the assembly of efficient light-harvesting antennas is long-standing challenge due to intractable aggregation-caused quenching donors. Herein, we designed cationic aggregation-induced emission (AIE) amphiphile self-assemble with natural DNA duplexes. As an donor, as-prepared AIE could be densely attached phosphate groups duplexes by using smaller trimethylammonium. The long alkyl chain between trimethylammonium and fluorophore allowed avoiding insufficient binding caused steric hindrance fluorophore, resulting in remarkably high donor/acceptor ratio comparable that widely developed custom assemblies. proposed self-assembly strategy provided novel flexible avenues assembling finely controlled systems into little synthetic modifications low cost.

Introduction to Self - Assembling DNA

Introduction. DNA, well-known as the predominant chemical for duplication and storage of genetic information in biology, has also recently been shown to be highly useful as an engineering material for construction of special purpose computers and micron-scale objects with nanometer-scale feature resolution. Properly designed synthetic DNA can be thought of as a programmable glue which, via spec...

Emission From NGC 4038 / 39 ( The “ Antennae ” )

We present observations of NGC 4038/39 in the [C II] 158 μm fine structure line taken with the MPE/UCB Far-infrared Imaging Fabry-Perot Interferometer (FIFI) on the KAO. A fully sampled map of the galaxy pair (without the tidal tails) at 55 resolution has been obtained. The [C II] emission line is detected from the entire galaxy pair and peaks at the interaction zone. The total [C II] luminosit...

Clustering to Maximize the Ratio of Split to Diameter

Given a weighted and complete graph G = (V, E), V denotes the set of n objects to be clustered, and the weight d(u, v) associated with an edge (u, v) ∈ E denotes the dissimilarity between objects u and v. The diameter of a cluster is the maximum dissimilarity between pairs of objects in the cluster, and the split of a cluster is the minimum dissimilarity between objects within the cluster and o...

How to maximize the aspect ratio of clay nanoplatelets.

Melt-synthesis yielded lithium-fluorohectorites (Li-hect(x)) with variable layer charge (x = 0.4, 0.6, 0.8, 1.0). Counterintuitively, both tactoid diameter and intracrystalline reactivity increased concomitantly with increasing layer charge. This way hectorites with very large diameters were obtained (d(50%) = 48 μm) that nevertheless still spontaneously delaminate when immersed into water and ...
